Because Even Heroes Need a Safe Place to Heal.
Supporting the Strongest: Therapy for First Responders.
Why work with Mind Free Counseling?
We understand the unique culture of first responders and why it can be challenging for them to open up about what happens on and off the job. We take precautions to ensure your confidentiality so you can keep doing the important work you do and receive the help you need without fear of repercussions.
Mind Free Counseling is also contracted with Public Safety Crisis Solutions, so you and your family members are covered.
You also need the right type of trauma-informed therapy, and Mind Free Counseling focuses on cutting-edge therapies like Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) to help you process both big “T” and little “t” trauma. We have also completed advanced training for the Recent Traumatic Episode Protocol (R-TEP) that is used specifically for big “T” trauma events that occur all too often on the job. This is a critical form of therapy rooted in science to help first responders process traumatic events that goes beyond the standard approach with EMDR.
How do I know if I’m eligible for covered sessions?

Why Mind Free Counseling works with First Responders
As the owner and founder of Mind Free Counseling, I have had the honor of working with first responders and seeing them make lasting change. It is a privilege to show up for those who always answer the call.
We also support organizations that support you, like the 100 Club and Arizona First Responders Foundation. We do this through volunteering and creating fun charity events to help raise funds, like our First Responders Charity Poker Event.
In addition to volunteering and raising funds, we also offer free educational workshops on stress-reduction, benefits of EMDR and Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy, and virtual support groups with your peers.
All of these services are offered at no cost to you. If you would like to learn more about our charity poker events, workshops, or virtual support groups, complete the contact us section below, and we will get in touch.
